Butterscotch Cookies

1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 1/2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups nuts, chopped

Frosting:
1/2 cup butter (melted over med. heat, when it stops bubbling and turns golden brown)
2 cups powdered sugar
1/8 cup boiling water

Beat until it holds it's shape.

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add sifted ingredients. Alternating with sour cream. Fold in nuts. Bake on greased cookie sheet @ 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. You may need to add more flour. This recipe is from Alta Altom
