Tortilla Soup


*The picture doesn't do it justice it really is flavorful with fresh cilantro and fresh alvacados (this was the leftovers).
1 1/2 lbs.of boneless chicken (to be shredded after boiled)
1/3 cup chopped onion
3 cloves minced garlic
3/4 tsp. cumin
3/4 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. chili powder
1/4 tsp. pepper
8 cups chicken broth
1 cup diced tomatoes
1 cup chili's (diced in a can)

2 cup corn tortilla's (about 5 sliced thin)
1 (14 oz.) can of corn
1 (14 oz.) can of black beans drained
1 bundle of cilantro
1 cup of cheese

Boil first set of ingredients for 30 mins. or until chicken is cooked. Remove chicken and shred. Add remaining ingredients and cook for 10 mins. Put Chicken back in the broth and serve with the following toppings.

sour cream
salsa
cheese
avocado
crushed chips

This recipe comes from the Hicken side of the family, it's yummy!
